In 1980 Gempeler Personal Injury Attorneys was founded by Geoffrey J. Gempeler. At that time, most law firms handled many different types of cases. Gempeler Personal Injury Attorneys began the same way, practicing commercial litigation, construction litigation, personal injury and family law in St. Cloud, Minnesota. In the late 80s, the firm realized a greater good could be achieved by focusing solely on injured victims and became one of the first in Minnesota to concentrate exclusively on personal injury law. The firm built its reputation by taking on challenging cases and prevailing, winning extraordinary verdicts from juries and settlements from insurance companies.

The firm’s clientele grew, as did its reputation for having a winning Minnesota injury lawyer in almost every personal injury practice area. The firm acquired more office space in downtown Minneapolis and continues to use cutting-edge technology to organize the firm’s infrastructure. The Minneapolis and St. Cloud offices are seamless using a dedicated point-to-point T1 and a special online networking system known as the Chesapeake Interlink Personal Injury Negligence System (now known as Needles). Gempeler, Butwinick & Donaldson was the first law firm in the State of Minnesota to purchase and implement this system for monitoring personal injury cases. The law firm became a streamlined machine, battling insurance companies and helping Minnesota personal injury victims across the entire state.

Now, Gempeler, Butwinick & Donaldson is a regional law firm of veteran Minnesota injury lawyers who handle automobile and product liability cases in addition to many types of personal injury lawsuits. The attorneys willingly share their legal skills and know-how with others who are still learning. The office administrator has worked on the advisory board for the software design of Chesapeake Interlink.
